@gaby

[ this was supposed to be one of Gaby's days off. in fact, she's not in the safehouse when the message comes in. ]

Turns out that we're missing two new faces around the safehouse.

I'd play a guessing game as to why I wasn't told, but I don't care. These two faces apparently murdered two people that night.

I don't know who they are, but I do know that they're locked up. Any guesses as to what's going to happen to them?

Genuine question. Because I don't know.

Oh, and because some of you think you can do whatever the hell you want around here: don't think the way out for them is a jail break. Don't even fucking try it. And no, Morningstar isn't in the business of breaking people out of jail, because that would be stupid.

[ she's a little angry. no. a lot. but mostly she doesn't know how to handle this one. ]

Look. You know something? Tell me. You won't be "in trouble."

I am an expert, actually. I did a great deal of hacking, seeing as I am an android.

I wasn't intending to cause another argument, but if you'd like a breakdown of my feelings on this matter then I can have them ready for you in point form:

- Intervening physically: no
- Intervening remotely: yes
- Murdering people: no
- Safehouse segregation: no

My first choice, as you may have read, was a small EMP. Scrambling their systems, jacking Ms. Johnson in to their security cameras, then moving forward as though nothing went awry, sounds fine to me. The officers at the precinct will be considering the outage, it'll be a distraction, and there's no tracing a line back to us.

I don't presume to know everything, but I'd like to help these people.

[ *was an android, but can he really argue with that beyond a petty shot?

sorry, Gaby. not a great deal more he can do on this one. ]

Actually, I hadn't read that.

Just make sure it's not going to come back on us.

These people here are my first priority.

first of all, you can both call me daisy

[ miss johnson only if you're nasty, please ]

second of all, everyone calm the fuck down
i'm not stamping my name to this without at least a dry run on a secondary location, so nobody panic

but with an emp and clearcut access to audiovisual feeds, i should be able to patch at least a two to three minute span of loop into the main databank while we pull the relevant footage
i'll need to know timestamps though if this is going to work

Sorry. Daisy.

I suggest performing this in the middle of the night, then, when there are minimal officers on duty and those in the holding cell are asleep. That way the loop is believable.

As for timestamps... interrogations happen immediately after the suspects are brought into custody, so the information they have is fresh in their minds. Pulling the interrogation would give us some idea of what these people said to the detective. I'm not sure when they were brought in, but if Gaby and El know the estimated time of arrival at the precinct, then you know the timestamp for the interrogation rooms.

the arrests were after the timeflip, right?
so middle of the night working time is midday now, or do the police departments not deal with the fake daylight savings time shenanigans?

I'm not sure of their schedule, but I can't imagine officers with both day and night shifts would worry much about a DST time change - but I'm familiar with the irrelevant DST time changes back home. From when it was useful for farmers.

In any case, you're likely correct in your assumption.
