Turns out that we're missing two new faces around the safehouse.
I'd play a guessing game as to why I wasn't told, but I don't care. These two faces apparently murdered two people that night.
I don't know who they are, but I do know that they're locked up. Any guesses as to what's going to happen to them?
Genuine question. Because I don't know.
Oh, and because some of you think you can do whatever the hell you want around here: don't think the way out for them is a jail break. Don't even fucking try it. And no, Morningstar isn't in the business of breaking people out of jail, because that would be stupid.

(oh, what sad times are these when passing ruffians can make dad jokes in serious posts...)
If it's too late, then we should be considering other factors. Like whether or not it was the drugs that made them commit these murders, if they're reliable enough to rescue, and how to do that. I don't want to throw my lot in with remorseless killers.
But if they were just doing as they were told... they deserve a second chance. They're us, whether we're open to accepting that or not.

connor thinks about carlos ortiz's android, the hk400. he thinks of rupert, of daniel, the tracis, of alice and kara. he thinks of markus. all either captured or hunted down for the committing the terrible crime of defending themselves against traumatizing lives and dirty human beings.
what if it was markus in there being questioned and sent to a holding cell to sit scared and alone, waiting for his sentence, oblivious to the dangers he'd have to face even after being set free — if ever?

This is a terrible thing to do to people we have no information about.
It's unlawful that we're handing down sentences without having the full story at our disposal. None of us should be acting like their judge, jury, and executioner. It causes me to distrust this community - what I believed to be a community - as a whole, people discussing how best to kill them before or after their release.
What if it was a friend of yours sitting in there, or a loved one? It may not be, but they are our people.
We don't even have footage of them, what if someone here knows them? Rider does, he claims to know and care for one of the men who's in the precinct interrogation room right now. They claim to be considering what's in everyone's best interests, but if so many are begging them not to do anything rash then is it?

It's not Jemma. They aren't a community. They aren't even a goddamn team. They're mismatched and haphazard, splintering into factions. His head is ringing, echoes blaring and tugging him in all directions. He thinks of Bobbi, asking, What do you want Fitz? ]
It is wrong, it is terrible, and you're right to distrust others. We were brought together by circumstances, not choice.
And yet some of us have chosen each other again and again. Don't you forget that because of this bloody din.

You can't stop people from running their mouths, but as you said, there is another vocal group against judgment and violence. They won't let an unfair verdict pass. You won't. I won't.
Intel is being gathered on those in custody. Following that, I promise we'll find a way to protect the accused. Innocent until proven guilty.

Some of us are keeping secrets from people who are and have been entitled to the information.
I suppose that's natural in this sort of climate, Fitz, but I've trusted the wrong people before and everything that I knew was replaced by ice, wind, and snow. I'm tired of the bickering, like Markus, because this proves to me that everyone - myself included - would rather argue than look at this situation calmly and with logic.
