[ this was supposed to be one of Gaby's days off. in fact, she's not in the safehouse when the message comes in. ]

Turns out that we're missing two new faces around the safehouse.

I'd play a guessing game as to why I wasn't told, but I don't care. These two faces apparently murdered two people that night.

I don't know who they are, but I do know that they're locked up. Any guesses as to what's going to happen to them?

Genuine question. Because I don't know.

Oh, and because some of you think you can do whatever the hell you want around here: don't think the way out for them is a jail break. Don't even fucking try it. And no, Morningstar isn't in the business of breaking people out of jail, because that would be stupid.

If we can get an idea of who's working the case and I can track them down outside of work, I might be able to learn something without their being any the wiser.

And if I can't, there's always speculation amongst the workforce.

If it's personal, I can keep a secret. But I'm not going to put your privacy above ensuring we're not about to find ourselves in the sort of spotlight we can't risk. Or at least not without prior warning.

The other people who know won't be exposed to telepathy, so I'm your best bet.

I don't need you to read the pulse of the detective on the case because I'm already on it. I don't get myself involved in what she does, but as you can understand, this wasn't a situation where I could be idle. Since you didn't seem keen to make any assumptions, now you can.

Whatever happens, no one is going into that precinct and putting her in danger.

I generally keep a cool head. But the suggestions made today will not happen. I won't let them happen.
