Hey again! I woke up feeling like crap and found my sword sitting on my chest. Which is weird, because I've been wanting it. I know I'm not the first person this has happened to. It's worth figuring out if there's any kind of pattern to it, so can everyone who's had it happen answer this?

I'm really hoping wish-granting is what's going on here, because there is some stuff from home I would seriously like to have right now.

I'm in possession of a sword that forces the truth when someone is cut with the blade, speaking of useful.

Dealing with the plague hurt, too but for me at least it didn't feel the same. More burning, and it wasn't in my chest.

I don't see anything wrong with 'blue junk'.
There's not really a neat existing term for "nonphysical blue glow in your chest that gives you powers and makes you feel other peoples feelings and also randomly fetches your personal items." We can't even get cute and call it heart or something like, since it just translates.

But you don't think the abilities will cross over.

But the curse might not, either. It would be a regular old sword.

Regardless of the eclectic mix of potpourri that the blow glowy thingie provides, it's still crossing barriers, whether they be local or multiversal. The new abilities could be manifesting from the same source, depending.
If you'd like, we can call it a Rabbit Hole, though this is hardly Wonderland.

I just wish we had more info right now to give them. Well, this is entirely theoretical, of course, but I don't mind speculating.

Good idea to survey this.
Two instances for me.
1. 8 August, approx. 18.30; 19 August, approx. 7.15
2. Multi-tool (*I know it's mine because I carved "17" into the side myself); framed photograph
3. I wished for the tool at one point but never the photo. Both were items on or near my person regularly for the last few years. I suppose they're both of personal, emotional significance to me.

Maybe the emergences are in line with cycles occurring at the other end of the wormhole.
Or they operate in time with wherever the source of the "energy" powering the portals is located.
A pattern in one universe may seem random in this one.
