@ian.fowler
I've put some plans together for some safehouse improvement. One of the biggest complaints was a lack of privacy & nowhere secluded to withdraw to, particularly when trying to sleep. Some people mentioned not being able to sleep whatsoever around strangers.
I'm thinking one wall of stacked sleep pods, and then the opposite wall with (fewer) sleep boxes for people who might be more claustrophobic. We should net out to having more beds than we started with thanks to the vertical space sleep pod stacking.
I know this doesn't solve the overall issue for people who don't want to be stuck in the safehouse to begin with, but I think it might make things a little easier.
Does anyone have any issue with me starting construction this week? I'll only be doing one wall at a time, so everyone currently staying there should have minimal disruption to their sleep.
A few features I plan on incorporating, in case anyone's curious about the functionality:
-interior locks & curtains
-exterior emergency release in case of fire etc
-temperature control & vented airflow
-personal lighting
-noise cancellation
I'm open to suggestions, but I may or may not be able to incorporate them in version 1.
( feel free to collaborate with anyone, but please take private threadjacks to personal contact posts for the sake of my inbox, rip. )

don't turn down any dates on my account, but I wouldn't mind the company.

[ And you know, maybe he'd feel better about locks he helped to put in. ]
Where are you starting? I'll meet you there

As long as everyone's more or less on board, I plan on starting tomorrow evening. Probably with the left wall of sleep pods.

I wanted to thank you for taking the initiative in this. It sounds like it will help anyone who stays in the safehouse to feel like they have more comfort and privacy, and I appreciate that.
While I know you don't want to disrupt the safehouse too much, I will have to pause certain functions and securities while you're working, so it would be best to relocate anyone who's currently staying in that safehouse to the space beneath Red Wings until construction concludes. I'll message anyone affected to let them know.
Just reach out to me when you start working, and I'll shut down everything that would get in the way of rewiring and electrical, and so on. Also, I'll be sending over the safehouse's schematics to you now as I imagine they'll make your job much easier.

Thank you for that.
If it helps, I won't need to be up in the wiring the entire time, I can get things ready and do the actual connecting to the existing infrastructure in batches. Maybe two or three days per wall? That way you're not decommissioning security and
displacing
the displaced
(lol)
the entire time it's under construction
if that's easier

This is the exact reason we have a back-up safehouse, so don't worry about it too much. I'm an AI of precautions, if you hadn't noticed.

Can you think of anything else that needs redone while I'm at it?

Even aside from new arrivals, it can take weeks or months for somebody to find a job and make enough money to afford their own apartment. A lot of us have to live there for long periods of time, I know I did. Having one consistent enclosed space to make your own can make it feel less like a homeless shelter.
Plus maybe people will stop having sex in the supply closet.
( maybe... that one was just... him... )

@shinobu.kocho
I've been working on helping the new displaced become more settled, so to speak, in the safe house but I think these improvements will go a long way in helping them adjust.
If you need any assistance, I would be happy to help.

Thank you for the offer.
