Not sure if it's the same for anyone else, but me and at least one other person I know of had some odd dreams a few days back. Right after the earthquake.

A lab in the ice, soldiers with gold glowing eyes, things crawling out of the ground.

I'm new here but I've been told a few of those things might sound familiar to folks here and not in a good way.

[ He wasn't exactly a big believer in premonition before coming here, but he's trusting that the advice he was given and the people who've been here longer'll know better if this means something as ominous as it sounds. Or at least confirm if it wasn't just the two of them sharing the same nightmare. ]

Couldn't tell you. All of them different sizes, some of them fusing together. It was chaotic.

I don't know the locales all that well, but they were tearing up out into cities.

Felt like nothing was stopping them.

Did he show it to you, or did you two see the same thing?

We both saw the lab, everything after that split.

I saw the lab too. Guess that means it must be important.

sometimes they'd crash together like a tidal wave

I'm not doubting you, but we should take this one step at a time. Figure out a better plan and try to decide what these dreams mean exactly.

Figure out what dreams of waging wars and monsters destroying cities means?
Might mean there's an upcoming parade, sure

That's not what I mean. I'm not an expert on how dreams work here, but the last one I had wasn't literal.

Last time we had a shared dream that ended up rewriting reality when things got this messed up. There was a holding period there, too.

If we have another shared dream, a gun isn't going to do you any good. It might not even work.

I'm not saying you're wrong, you know a hell of a lot more than me about this place
I'm just saying it's better to over-prepare with no consequences than under-prepare for a war

The monsters attacking those cities happened, too. When it did, we had a set of dreams at the same time, right before the big shared one.

I might be wrong, but I don't think it's a good idea for us to start arming up for a fight that may not come.

[Especially since this is her second conversation in a surprisingly short amount of time about war.

It's starting to feel a lot like home.]

Strange mentioned the last time an earthquake like this happened a giant monster burst out of the ground and decimated the city
Jack's seen monsters with the same glowing eyes as the dream we had in person

We can't just ignore it and hope for the best
I get it, though. I can't force you into anything. I won't try to.
I'll figure something out.

You're talking about what happened to you folks in October, or something else?

If this is some kind of warning, I'm worried about places already left vulnerable from an earthquake getting caught unawares. There any way to pass along a message to people outside this group without sounding nuts?

That's the one.

The dreams won't affect them, if that's what you're getting at. All we can hope for is some chance that we'll be able to get a do-over for everyone else, and be smarter about how we handle ourselves once we're in there.

So what's your suggestion?
Let's say we start handing out guns and prepping safehouses for a physical invasion.
What happens if it's a shared dream like Clarke said? Or something like the sim? What happens when we jump to prepare for the wrong thing and screw ourselves over?

If you prepare the safehouse and arm people who know what they're doing and nothing happens
Nothing happens
Worst thing you've done is waste an afternoon

Hell of a lot fewer consequences than if you don't prepare and it actually happens
It seems like the strategically safer bet.

I'm saying we should wait for more people to weigh in before we start digging trenches. Weapons aren't even allowed in the city. How do you think it would look if we all start sniffing around for a pile of guns on the black market out of nowhere?
