"Um, hi! I guess that's the first place to start.

My name is Glimmer and I'm new. I just got out of the house and all that stuff. This whole thing is taking a lot of getting used to.

I guess what I'm saying is that I need some help! I know that I've got some money and stuff to get me started but this whole thing is making my head spin. I've never had to apply for a job or an apartment before and I was wondering if anyone out there would be willing to help me get settled?

the job stuff isn't so hard to get settled depending on what you can do and what you're like
most of the stuff i'm good at doesn't apply to jobs for regular people
but i guess the people in this world don't expect teenagers to be able to do hard stuff
so i got a really easy job working at an arcade

Princess was mostly learning what I would do when I became queen.

Queen was a lot of organization and delegation and sitting around talking to people and making plans and all of that.

that sounds a lot like what my boss at the arcade does.
you could probably get a management job.

A job is a way to get money. A profession is a sort of identity.

I'm pretty secure in my identity, so I don't think I'm really looking for an identity. Just income.

Or you could take my job as a dishwasher because I don't want it.

No? No one here has ever heard of Bright Moon. Or Etheria. It's not like I can expect people to treat me the same way they do at home.

Not I, though. If it helps, no one's heard of Eddis or Sounis either. I'm not sure why that would help but people seem to believe that one sad truth deserves another.

No, a lot of them are all from one world. Or different versions of it. The names of places here make sense to them.

Not really. I don't know where to even start.

Would you want to live alone? That's a good place to start.

[ They could go at this like a battle plan. That's comfortable territory, familiar. ]

Roommates would make it easier, especially if they know how to cook.

I don't think I would, necessarily. It seems like a lot. And I mean, I've never really lived ALONE before? There's always been other people around.
