Hello everyone,

I have what may be considered an opulent request, my apologies in advance.

I have been residing at the safe house while adapting to some, let's just say, really really big lifestyle changes since arriving here. But I believe its moving of locations signifies my time to move on as well.

I am looking for free lodging space, or a roommate who I can share a small apartment with. I have a full time position and Vynation and can pay for the inconvenience.

I am not sure there are many free lodgings beyond the safehouse, but I have seen inexpensive motels and apartments across the city.

Unless by free you simply meant available.

Right, I meant in terms of available space, I have an income and means to pay. It would simply be beneficial for me to stay somewhere with others who have more experience with independence.

There may be more communal kind of apartment buildings out there. Individual bedrooms with shared kitchen spaces and living areas.

Unfortunately, yes. Before now I hadn't had any opportunities to live independently.

Are those communal living quarters safe? It's one thing living among other Displaced, I...would be hesitant to leave myself open to natives of the city who can't be as accounted for.

That is quite a jump to make in a city like this. Are you at least familiar enough with this kind of technology?

I imagine safety would depend on each individual building. But I would be hesitant about that as well. Unfortunately I am not sure which spaces are the ones who house any Displaced.

I am familiar in the sense that much of the technology here can at least be compared to something back where I came from, though if I'm being honest, much of it is still on the rudimentary side in terms of possible advancements.

Er....not to brag.

It sounds as though living in one of the motels is my best option, hopefully they won't mind a long term tenant as long as there is money. Thank you for the suggestion.

It is not a brag, just a fact. I continue to find it strange that space travel is not a standard here, and that is just how my universe was. You are probably luckier than some who continue to struggle with this level of technology.

Motels often house long term guests. I have found they often do not care who is staying, as you have said, so long as the money continues.
