I've seen it on other planets. Not everyone is as ready to accept aliens. Seems silly when a lot of those species are older than their but new things can be terrifying.

How different do you look? We went to pick people up at a festival once where there were some unnatural things being added.

I do not look very different, but I have some features that humans do not have.

i watched a history channel holodoc about it a few weeks back at like three am

and yeah, it's fine, he mostly looks human and he doesn't mind his looks. even if obvious atlantean racial traits like his are something not appreciated overly much by most atlanteans. ]

I am not human, and obviously so. I've taken to masking my features as it seems to be the path of least resistance, though I confess I haven't been here long enough to know what consequences await me, if any, for going around with ears and tail flapping about for all to see.

Yes. In the simplest of terms, I've the features of a cat. Ears, tail, and my eyes as well. Nothing a jaunty hat and a pair of stylish glasses cannot fix, however.

Well, as I said, I don't know if there are any, but I have noted that the population of this world seems to be solely human. I was garnering more strange looks than I'd like when I first arrived.

Mayhap it is partly a desire to keep people from prying, and partly a desire to make things as easy for myself as possible.
