So. Some of you know this already, but Ciri's gone. She hadn't come home for a while. She was there with us when we first got into that accident a couple months ago. I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news. I hope she comes back to us.
Until then, Ciri was interested in making sure we were all on the same page. Whether we like it or not, we're a team. We have a lot of the same goals. Some people want to help this world and others want to get home, but I think we all know the answers surrounding us can be found in the same place.
The idea was that we would meet once a month to touch base. And maybe get to know one another better. We'd do it outside of the safehouse so that it'd be our own thing. I think we decided on a buffet. But I'm not sure. Somewhere more private might be better. We could always start somewhere with food and find somewhere else to touch base.
If anyone has some ideas, let me know. I think these meetings can be important. If nothing else, we'll always know that we're not alone.
[And somewhere in there, Keith managed not to write "I don't know how to gather people for a party or make reservations or any of that because I'm bad at it." It was a true effort on his part.]

@giovanni.rammsteiner
Do people often return once they've disappeared? Or is it not more likely our captors have simply reclaimed them? That, or they're dead.

Either way, she's not dead.

@jughead.jones
That really ties things up. We'll just have to pick up where she left off.
Sorry, man. I knew she was a friend of yours.

She didn't like this world much. Having to sit still and do nothing before we could act was hard on her.
If she's somewhere else, hopefully it's a place she can fight.
@ojiro.juniper
A private home would really be the best place to get into details but given the cost and size of real estate in this place, I really doubt anyone has a big enough place.

@ignis.scientia
As for coordinating the entire collective of displaced individuals here into a space, I would agree with your suggestion of something more private and low-key. While a group assembling is a rather benign occurrence, the fact of the matter is that it immediately draws a connection to all of us. And should that connection be found to be false identities forged by a rebellious faction, it would likely spell disaster.
Do we have any accurate estimations of how many of us are here?
no subject
I don't know how many there are. @gaby would know. Not everyone showed up at our first meeting.
Maybe we can ask Morningstar if they know a place that they haven't made their own yet. They could give us this.

we could also go the route of throwing fake birthday parties
renting out places for parties is pretty normal back home, i can't see why anyone would think that's weird here

Of course, whenever I needed to go somewhere I would be recognized, I also went to a wineshop.

We need to maximize our interactions with each other while minimizing our exposure, and so I'm wondering about the feasibility of getting all of us together in the same place without tipping someone off. But if we split into groups, we're not really a cohesive unit, unless we switch out who hangs out with whom every month.
We could find some kind of cover for all of us to get together as a social club. Fake a shared hobby or interest that most people would not find very interesting. The dystopian equivalent of birdwatching.

Secondly, Markus suggested a base of operations, not unlike the safehouse. But one that's all our own.
What do you think?
@markus.manfred
I’ve been thinking — why not take a page out of Morningstar’s book? Find not a public venue, but our own facsimile of a safe haven?
[Hailing from Jericho, it’s easy for him to suggest this.]

I don't think it's a bad idea.
They may be willing to help us set it up, so long as we manage the rest ourselves.

[he didn't know ciri for long, but there's something ? sad ? about people disappearing, and them not knowing much about what happened to those people.]
meeting once a month would be a great idea
how about having them be at someone's place? like a house warming/party in disguise??
