Anyone here choose to not use the ability they were given for whatever reason? Or is it sometimes impossible to avoid using it?

I haven't figured out what mine is yet but I thought I'd just check in to see if they're easily controlled when you have figured them out or if they just pop off without preamble. Might be a little bit of a mood killer in certain situations if that were to happen.

Can you turn them off even if you can't actually turn them off?

During the EMP, yeah. It was a blood bath. Overheating, exposure, hovercars falling out of the sky.

Usually they offer the compost to the family, but there was a surplus. Still is probably.

I don't know. There's not enough pyramids to bury everyone in their own tombs and I don't know what other Earth funerary rites exist.

Cremation and burial were the big ones. Some donated their bodies to science and I even think freezing themselves was coming into practice.
