Sooo... someone suggested I set up a security system wherever we decide on our new safehouse. I can definitely do surveillance, and encryption and retinal scanners and all that, but I can't say I've ever tried to secure something before.

Any volunteers to help me out? Prior security experience or breaking-and-entering experience both apply.

[ Being an engineer in a discipline that allows for zero errors, Catherine agrees readily. ] Right, exactly. El said that there'll be a preexisting security system wherever we end up, but she didn't mind us adding things on top.

And an evacuation protocol would be one of those things. That's a good idea. We would need more than one for different reasons to evacuate... 'The cops are coming' is pretty different from 'there's a fire'.

I hope so! Usually I'd be one of those oblivious losers walking right on by! I've never had to hide something.
