[ That's a lot more than she was expecting in response, but Catherine doesn't mind it. It really is a relief to have something to think about that isn't the husk of PATHOS-II she'd left behind -- or Simon, also left behind. That the ARK was successfully launched means a lot to her. The knowledge that somewhere out there, Catherine and Simon and all the rest she'd scanned have a happy, probably eternal life is something she can hold to herself as a comfort and a victory.

But it's also something that feels more and more distant as time goes on. It won't keep her endlessly spinning thoughts calm. Now, work -- that'll do it. ]

Oh... sorry to hear that. We could use someone specializing in biotech. I'm gonna have to get up to speed pretty quick!

What does it look like, physically speaking? Like a thin ski mask? Either way, it shouldn't be too difficult. I've been meaning to look more into how our implants work, anyway.

When I was in a mechanical body, it was pretty easy to scramble my sensors. Machines don't do well with certain types of signals and interference. Using receivers like the visual displays our implants sync up to and scrambling them on purpose... That's smart. And definitely doable.

Just about everyone has one, right? It obviously won't work on someone fully organic.
